Browsing with QtWeb – light weight – customisable – portable

I’m always on the look out for light weight versions of commonly used software so I was delighted to find QtWeb browser based on Nokia‘s Qt framework it doesn’t need installing either which is always a bonus so would be a good addition to a “pendrive”. QtWeb browser uses Apple‘s WebKit rendering engine and I wonder if this might be why it has the ability to render a website in different ways, to reflect different operating systems, this feature should help to provide a familiar interface for all users. Very little memory is consumed relative to browser’s like Firefox making it ideal for more modest equipment and yet it still manages to include support for the most common plugins, Flash, Quicktime etc.
