How to take control of Ubuntu by enabling “root” login from the Login Window
I,m using Krecordmydesktop to show you how to enable “root” to log in at the Login screen in Ubuntu Linux. By default you cannot login as “root” so you have to enable the option via “Login Window” available through “System” settings on the Gnome panel.
Of course whether or not you should be logging in as “root” rather than using “sudo” is a different matter altogether, see HERE or HERE.
You will notice in this clip the hesitancy as I arrive at the “Login Window” and then desperately rack my brains for the right tab to click on, a sort of “senior moment” I think they say.
The observant music makers amongst you may have noticed the Rebirth RB338 2.0 icon on my Desktop, i’ll be writing about getting hold of the full version (legally obviously) and installing it through Wine in a future post.
As always your comments are most welcome.
